SCARRED FOR LIFE
Article for [dee-kuhn-struhkt] Magazine
ARTICLE, PHOTOGRAPHY & LAYOUT
Scarred for Life is an article I wrote, photographed, and designed for the student magazine [Dee-Kuhn-Struhkt]. The concept of the magazine was "Making memorable the human spectacle". Scarred for Life celebrates the scars and battle wounds we accumulate during our lives and the way in which they shape us and help us grow. The photography juxtaposes the vulnerability of the human body with it’s incredible ability to adapt, heal, and strengthen. The layout adheres to the magazines style guide which favored a hand made collage-like aesthetic inspired by the DADA art movement.
