ASHLEIGH ROSE SMITH

Avant is a local arts and culture zine I created as part of a student project. The project focused on the layout and formatting required for a magazine and encouraged but did not require original content. Avant includes content written by myself as well as Jason Van Russel of the Calgary Herald and Sarah Comber of the Calgary Journal. In addition to photo’s that were donated to Avant, I assisted photographer Jessica Wittman onset to produced original photography that accompanies the article ‘The Dandy Brewing Company’. The concept, style, and layout of the zine was designed by myself.
